It all started on 19th January 2021, with just one cow, a borrowed ₹20,000 from my father, and a dream I wasn’t even sure how to define. I didn’t have a big farm or a team — just a small space, my hands, and the belief that if I stayed honest and kept going, something good would come out of it. I used to do everything myself — milking, cleaning, selling — no labor, no shortcuts. For the first six months, I focused only on reinvesting whatever little I earned, and that helped me buy my second cow. Slowly, cow by cow, day by day, I built something that felt like more than just a business. After 1.5 years, I had 4 cows.
I still remember those days — riding through villages, selling milk door to door. But deep down, I knew I wanted to do more than just sell milk. I wanted to bring back the traditions we were losing — the ancient ways of eating and living that connected us to purity. So, I started making Bilona Ghee — the real kind, made from curd, hand-churned, and cooked on a mitti chulha, not to save cost but to keep the process pure. I walked shop to shop, home to home, telling people, “It may cost a bit more, but what you’re getting isn’t just ghee — it’s a step towards better health, you’re investing in your family’s well-being. ”And then, when the time was right, I made a decision that changed everything.
I left my job as a software developer, gave up the comfort I had built over 4 years — and poured every last rupee I had into building this dream.
